He that dwelleth in the aid of the Most High, shall abide under the protection of the God of Jacob.
He shall say to the Lord: Thou art my protector and my refuge: my God, in Him will I trust

Feast of the Assumption
Happy Feast!
Also a good excuse to include a solemn 'Salve Regina' in Honour of Our Blessed Lady. I rather like this version in 'organum' style - an early form of polyphony.
I concur. These Templar chants, like those of St. Hildegard von Bingen, always send chills down my spine.
Talking of Templars and smililar, there is possily quite a case for revival of some of the medieval Military Religious Orders. With current news of Christians being attacked and churches burnt in various parts of the world, I could see a role for soldier-monks in protecting pilgrims and refugees.
My favourite Salve Regina, also.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I hear this, I get goose-bumps all over and feel a great need to put Chain-Mail on !!!
